Download my CV!

I started programming while studying Industrial Engineering in the Dominican Republic. I learned enough C to do HackerRank challenges, then moved towards Web Development, teaching myself HTML, CSS, and JavaScript using FreeCodeCamp. I later moved to Boston, and went through the Resilient Coders bootcamp, leading to a position as a full-time software developer.

After almost two years working at the Boston Illiquid Securities Offering Network (BISON), I took gap year to study and work on personal projects, spanning from Arduino stuff (telerobotics), to WebXR projects such as hand-tracking-based interfaces, and an assortment of UI component for interacting/navigating through VR websites.

I genuinly enjoy working on conventional software, and I'm happy working wherever I might be of use.

Stuff I do in my personal life

VR stuff: Click HERE to view some of my VR stuff. These are mostly prototypes and experimental layouts. It's all in JavaScript. I can think of a ton of use cases for VR, but mostly I already have a prescription for corrective glasses, and I know that smart-glasses are a matter of time. Also, I sometimes like to draw or work through ideas within VR and I already knew JavaScript.

Hardware Stuff: Excessively long playlist where I document my hardware stuff. This clip is probably the highlight of my playlist. I still need to edit or redo some videos, but feel free to peek.

Weird Artsy Text Thing™

"Typing" effect, like if someone were typing this character by character instead of the letters loading all together.

Markdown Previewer

A markdown previewer powered by React.

VR Drawing App

Draw in VR! Best with VR Headset (ex: Oculus Browser, or Firefox Reality). Will still work on mobile/desktop, but not as cool. (proof of concept, only had RED for now)

Recipe App

A client-side recipe app that saves information in local storage

Brownie Quest Roguelike

A procedurally generated dungeon crawler game. Use arrow keys to move around. Eat cookies and collect silverware to increase your power. Drink juice to stay hidrated. (touchscreen-only device support pending)

Calculator

A simple JavaScript calculator.

News Tiles

Pinterest-type layout. Initially pulled data from an API, but API is offline. Need to go back and swap API for something still live.

Pomodoro Timer

An interval timer. The app alternate between the "short" and "long" countdowns, with an alarm in between.

Star Trek Quote Generator

Over fifty Star Trek: The Original Series quotes. Explore quotes from the final frontier on your very own Federation-issue PADD!

Twenty Roars (Simon)

T-Rex themed Simon clone. Win 20 points to beat the game. Includes a "zen" mode for free play, and a simple record/playback button.

Perfect Tic-Tac-Toe

An un-beatable game of tic-tac-toe. The AI never looses. (X goes first). Uses mini-max algorithm under the hood.

Wikipedia Article Search

Searches Wikipedia articles via the MediaWiki API. Not proud of the UI, code is 3+ years old and could use an update.
